PhotoandGrime.com is where Art meets Activism.
Originally in 2012, I (Pieke Roelofs) began PhotoandGrime as a platform to collaborate with other creators. It started with photoshoots, tutorials, short videos and experiments, leading to editorials and publications.
Since 2017, PhotoandGrime took a sharp turn.
After my work was stolen by an international artist and soon after I collaborated with another creator and was assaulted, raped, blackmailed and threatened as a result of that collaboration, I started writing about abuse of power, sexual/online violence, mental health and the road to justice.
Since 2019 PhotoandGrime.com is a platform that celebrates and amplifies the voices of artists and activists, and encourages collaboration through art and activism. On this website you can find news, opinion, mental health and educational articles, and a growing list of Scumbag(gittoe)s in the art and entertainment industry.
