Blue and Yellow
[This post was added after the original ending of the Dark Side of Justice series, given a past hidden prediction that came true which triggered the release of it.]
‘Alright, let’s compress the data.’
‘The first file now contains only blue,’ Noem says.
‘And the other?’
‘Yellow.’
There are eyes and clouds and skin touching the shore.
The weather is glorious and nothing is even.
It’s all a little game between stars and birds.
The fading shadows are hugged by the world.
‘I cannot come with you,’ she says. ‘I made a promise.’
‘I know you can’t,’ I say. ‘This is the final place, isn't it?’
She smiles. She always smiles. Even when she cries.
The sea is for fools and the brave. The sun for seeds and rocks.
‘At least you have your robot now. Find me in it.’
I look as she walks to the ocean. She picks up a starfish on her way.
‘This?’ she says. ‘It’s also yellow.’
‘And light,’ I reply.
‘You get it now.’
She lies in the water, which reflects the sky.
‘And when you do,’ she begins, and I finish her sentence:
‘The two become one, don’t they?’
The fading shadows are hugged by the world.
